Tiatung- Day 4, part 1
#1 Garbage everywhere!!!

#2 A fruit stand on Fruit Street!

#3 Fisherman waiting for a bite!

#4 The beautiful ocean view, and great sandy beach.

The next morning, a new city to explore, so we did just that. Our travel guide recommended “Fruit Street”, so off we went to find it. WOW, it was just that, blocks and blocks of street vendors selling various fruit and veggies. Tons of clothing stores, herbal stores, juice stands, and candy and nut stores thrown in the mix. The stores are all so similar, the prices too, I don’t know how people here deciede where to go??
Michelle and I have become a big fan of the roasted peanuts…way better than back home. So after buying a bunch of fruit, cashews & peanuts…we headed to the beach!!!
The sun was out big time. It was beyond hot all day!!! As we approached the beach front we were immediately disappointed…AHHHHH…when will these people start worrying about their environment. It was like a tornado hit a garbage dump and left all the remains all over the park and beach……garbage everywhere!!! This put me in such a bad mood. I couldn’t even take my sandles off cause they was broken glass, and tons of burnt-out fireworks, and firecracker packages everywhere. However the closer we walked to the ocean the cleaner it got, and the better my mood as well.
Being around water and the ocean totally lifts my spirits. I love hearing the waves crashing, and feeling the sand sinking below my feet. Other families were also playing along the shore, and some men were out fishing too. Lots of people flying kites and riding tandem bicycles.
