Elephants in the Street!

With my first day of school behind me I head back to my guesthouse. Harry and his duel with the Death Eaters awaits me. I read...and read...and read....and suddenly realize how thirsty I am. I head down to the common area in our guesthouse and lo and behold what is that in the street? Why an elephant of course! For a mere 20 baht (approximately 60 cents Canadian) you can buy sugar cane to feed the elephant with.

Perfect timing. I get my drink and head back to my book!!! For those of you that are Harry Potter fans you'll understand why I spent my first night in Thailand with my nose in a book. For those of you that have never read Harry Potter - once you read it you'll completely understand my addiction!
