HOLIDAY KTV!!!

Time for a duet.....unfortunately Love Shack and Summer Nights weren't options.....we still found lots to sing though.
Yep....still singing...and eating....and singing...and eating....and ... you get the picture.
So, the people of Taiwan are completely obsessed with singing Karaoke. You can't really go anywhere in Taiwan without seeing a TV set up and someone singing their lungs out...in the street, at funerals, at weddings, at the markets, EVERYWHERE! seriously.
So to really fulfill this addiction they've created a little something called KTV. KTV is a business that offers to customers the opportunity to rent a private room, sing Karoaoke for hours on end, eat tons of deep fried food (including some weird Japanese items), and pop and tea. So, you hire your room go in and sing and sing and sing and eat and eat and eat!
There's a huge TV, you pick your songs from the catalogue, and in between songs, the top 40 Mando Pop (Mandarin) tune videos are playing. So there's never a dull or quiet moment.
Young people will rent these rooms and stay there all night and not leave until the sun comes up.
So we finally had the chance to go on Saturday night with some of the staff from the school. There were 7 of us all together and we had a great time. We were definitely introduced to the popular songs over here .... even though we had no idea what they were about most of the time. The videos explained a bit I think, but usually involved, young love, sickness, and heartbreaks.
We stayed for about 4 hours early Saturday night. Definitely alot of fun!
