Two Birthdays in Taiwan for Michelle

What a week! Both Michelle and I were filling in for other teachers at other schools, plus our regular jobs, and the excitement of our guests soon to arrive, and to top it off...another birthday in Taiwan for Michelle on Thursday.

We celebrated together early in the morning, then I was off to teach. Soon she was off for Birthday lunch with the girls. Then the both of us were asked to help out one of Michelle's private students with his business DVD profile for his clients. So he picked us up before school and went to his house and factory...he has a really nice place. His factory makes safety buckles and SIM cards for cell phones. He's a very nice man, with little English ability, but he's learning and improving quickly. After he found out it was Michelle's birthday he called a really nice and expensive bakery shop and got a huge cake and coffee sent to the school for Michelle and everyone to enjoy. Then back to school, I got one of Michelle's classes to sing for her when she walked in.
Some of her other students and classes also surprised her with other birthday wishes as well.
All the Tiawanese teachers also gave Michelle cards and gifts.
Then after work we went to a restaurant and lots of people showed up to continue the birthday celebrations. Then off to another pub after that...anything for the birthday girl. It was a long festive day.
