BaguaShan-to-UBUS-to-Taipei

Even after living in Taiwan more than a year...communication is not always easy.

We tried to convey to a cab driver that we needed 2 cabs/taxis to pick the 6 of us up to catch the UBUS to Taipei, and he shook his head and nooded and agreed and smiled...but we found out when the time came...he did NOT understand.

He came and picked up 3 of us, and then planned to drop them off and come back for us...but didn't allow for how much time that would take...we almost missed our bus, it was just about to take off when the second group of us finally pulled up. What a releif!

Then it was off to Taipei to check into our hotel....and hope all their luggage had arrived and that all the communicating about how and when and where the luggage was suppose to go to was actually there...and thankfully it was!

From there we cabbed it to Taipei 101 and met our friend Dharma. We looked around, grabbed a bite to eat, and headed up to the observatory in the world's tallest building.
